TEAM PRE-REGISTRATION NOW OPEN!
In 2010, cadets of the California Cadet Advisory Council (CAC) worked to develop an event that was not training focused but one that aimed to have cadet and seniors come together to socialize and have fun. The initial concept was voted on and approved by the cadet council and then sent to the Wing Commander where it was also approved. The cadets involved in its creation continued to develop the program. In 2011, CAWG held its first UBWC at Vandenberg AFB. In 2017, the official home of UWBC was moved to Sierra Christian Camp in Posey, CA where the event has been held each year since. Through development and the years of execution the mission and priorities of the activity have not changed.
Priority #1: For Cadets and Senior members from local squadrons to come together at a Wing level activity to socialize and have fun. To renew relationships built at other activities and create new relationships that will last for a lifetime.
Priority #2: The competition.
– All members of the team should be prepared for physical fitness, aerospace, emergency services, and aerospace activities.
– Each squadron is permitted to send (1) team, however additional teams may register based on space being available. Please understand that although we will permit additional teams from the same squadron to register, UBWC reserves the right to cancel attendance approval of any additional teams due to space constraints at any time leading up to the event.
*In order to participate without any penalties, teams must participate with (4) cadets. Only (1) alternate is allowed per team. Alternates are not permitted to switch between teams — they must be assigned to (1) team only. Any teams that attend with fewer than (4) cadets will be permitted to compete but will incur penalties when scoring and/or may be automatically assigned an alternate at random from the UBWC Chief Judge. All team members must be from the same squadron. Alternates are only to be used when a true medical condition prohibits a team member from competing. They will not be used as a substitute player at will. Alternates should be prepared to not compete.
3 Challenge Areas
One team member participates in Endurance and Speed. Two team members participate in the Agility/Strength race. All four team members participate in the Team events. Note that the below events are only EXAMPLES of what to prepare for and are subject to change due to facility availability and cadet staff vision WITHOUT notice.
