The California Wing is soliciting applications for the position of Chair, California Wing Cadet Advisory Council for the 2019 – 2020 term. The term begins 1 Oct 19.

Responsibilities include:
a. Organizing and facilitating in person and remote Cadet Advisory Council meetings.
b. Leading the Cadet Advisory Council in projects requested by the Wing Commander and projects determined by the Council members.
c. Communicating with the Wing Commander as the representative of all cadets in California Wing.
d. Representing California Wing to the Pacific Region Cadet Advisory Council.
e. Participating in the Wing Commander’s monthly command calls.
f. Other duties as assigned by the Wing Commander or Director of Cadet Programs.
The ideal candidate:
A Cadet Captain or above, demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, possess previous CAC experience (although not required), be an active participant in squadron, group, and wing activities, and possess a desire to learn and grow in a year-long leadership commitment.
Interested Cadet Officers should apply by sending a resume and a cover letter to the Advisor of the CWCAC, Lt Col Boyle, and the current CWCAC Chair, C/Lt Col Beal: John.boyle@cawgcap.org and Tyler.Beal@cawgcap.org.
a. Within your cover letter you my answer one of the following three prompts: Why do you believe that the CAC is important to Cadet Programs? What are some weaknesses in the California Wing Cadet Programs section that you could facilitate the improvement of and how? How will your general leadership within the CAC benefit the California Wing and in what way?
b. The idea behind answering these prompts is that the selection panel should be able to clearly see a planning process incorporated into your plans in addition to your general organization of priorities.
c. The deadline for applications is September 15th, with an anticipated final selection and announcement by Col Veta on September 22nd.
